The Russians refer to Asiatic Borzoi, Crimean Borzoi, Polish Borzoi, as the Germans refer to der englische Wind- hund, der russische Windhund, and the Prench, to levrier russe, levrier anglais, levrier ecossais. There is no such breed as the Siberian wolf- hound. The Russian Borzoi is no more exclusively a wolfhound than is the English Borzoi; for, al- though it has in some instances been especially trained on wolves, it is more commonly used for fox and hare coursing.
